Has FloydFest updated, expanded and added more detail to its FAQ sections?
Yes — especially because this is the first year at our new site — and please let us know if we ever need to add anything additional by emailing info@atwproductions.com. We also have separate pages for other FAQs:
- FloydFest FAQs
- Helping Hands/ADA FAQs
- Vendor FAQs (Coming in December!)
Please find all of these located under “FAQs’ in the navigation tab on FloydFest.com.

Are High-Roller All-Access VIP tickets sold a la carte, aside from bundles?
Sorry, they are not. HRAA VIP tickets — admission, parking, camping — are only sold as bundles via FloydFest.com.
When does the box office open for HRAA VIPs? When can HRAA VIPs arrive to FloydFest 24~Horizon?
FloydFest’s Box Office opens at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, for High-Roller All- Access VIPs ONLY. The early-entry period for HRAA VIPs is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, and only HRAA VIPs are allowed to enter during those hours; patrons must have a VIP ticket to enter during those hours, even if they are arriving/riding in the same vehicle.
FloydFest’s Box Office opens at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, for 5-Day GA ticketholders, and then closes at 11 p.m. (nightly).
The Box Office then is open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024 (for 4-Day GA ticketholders, etc.); from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 (for 3-Day GA ticketholders, etc.); from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 (for single-day GA ticketholders, etc.); and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 (for single-day GA ticketholders).
*The Box Office closes from 11 p.m. (8 p.m. on Sunday) to 9 a.m. nightly.
** Your arrival time depends on the ticket type purchased; please consult your ticket for details, and please do not arrive early. You can also reference our ‘Info By Ticket-Type FAQs’ on this website.
Please follow directions to the festival site, where FloydFest Box Office teams will greet you at your vehicle with wristbands, tent tag and a parking decal, and then guide you to your parking spot. Once parked, hospitality carts/vehicles will assist in transporting your gear to the HRAA VIP backstage camping area.
Can I arrive early?
Please arrive no earlier than 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
Please arrive no earlier than the time listed on your ticket. As our main festival site is located just off the main highway in Floyd County, patrons arriving early complicate logistics, unnecessarily clog entry points and understandably upset neighbors. Those arriving early will be turned away, which, in turn, usually means that your entry time will actually be delayed. Please do not arrive earlier than instructed to FloydFest 24~Horizon.
Please do not arrive earlier than 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
How do I get there?
The address of the new FloydFest site is 5826 Floyd Highway North, Check, VA 24072. You can find directions and additional information here: https://floydfest.com/packing-list-rules-directions/.
What should I pack?
Please check-out our Packing List here: https://floydfest.com/packing-list-rules-directions/.
What should I avoid bringing?
First, please refer to FloydFest's rules, found here: https://floydfest.com/packing-list-rules-directions/.
Second, you will be searched upon entry to the festival site. In addition to this search assuring that we can create a safe atmosphere to host a family friendly festival, it is also because our ABC (alcohol) barrier is our entire festival site. This barrier was created when — based on patron feedback — we opened up our beer gardens so that alcohol could be consumed across our entire music-festival site (and not just consumed within our beer gardens). Now, this ‘open-carry’ benefit results in strict checks for outside alcohol when entering FloydFest.
*NOTE: We are sorry, but you cannot leave the VIP Pub with your complimentary adult beverages due to ABC regulations. VA ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) mandates different ABC barriers within our main festival site, thus HRAA VIP patrons cannot take their free alcohol outside of the VIP Pub barrier. We are sorry for the inconvenience (but free alcohol is always a good thing). That said, HRAA VIPs now receive (10) free Beer Tickets, which can be used in any Beer Garden onsite, beyond the VIP Pub (where you already drink for free).
What is included in the “HRAA VIP Pair (21+) BUNDLE?”
Each High-Roller All-Access VIP Pair (21+) BUNDLE includes:
(2) HRAA VIP Adult tickets (with all perks)
(1) HRAA VIP Tent Tag
(1) HRAA VIP Parking Pass
Will we be searched upon entry?
Yes, all baggage and coolers entering the FloydFest site are subject to search. No outside alcohol, no drugs, no glass and no weapons are allowed into the festival site.
*If you have medical equipment, such as insulin supplies, please inform the security personnel performing the search.
Where do High Rollers park?
Onsite parking for HRAA VIPs is conveniently located in our best locations onsite, on a first-come, first-serve basis in the HRAA VIP Parking Pass parking lot, now contained within our VIP World, which can be seen on the new Site Map: https://floydfest.com/site-map/.
I purchased a High-Roller ticket. If I leave, can I bring a different vehicle and still park onsite?
No — parking passes are non-transferrable. Once assigned and a HRAA VIP Parking Pass sticker is applied, they are valid only for the vehicle for which they were originally designated.

Is there onstage seating for High-Roller All-Access VIPs?
Sadly, due to artist restrictions out of our control, as well as health precautions, High-Roller All- Access VIPs are no longer able to enjoy onstage seating for FloydFest 24~Horizon, but that may change in the future and with our new Main Stage. We are sorry for this loss of perk, as we know it was a special bonus. Thank you for understanding!
Where do High Rollers camp?
The access, amenities and ‘amazing’ are only increasing for the new HRAA VIP campground, but the abundance of flat ground on which to camp and commune may actually steal the show. Mix in a motif where the mountains meet the margins of Meadow Run Creek, and all of your VIP amenities are in easy reach, and you’ll see why we chose this remarkable piece of land for our VIP patrons. HRAA VIP campers will enjoy easy access to all stages, catering, the VIP Pub, private stage and myriad amenities, High-Roller VIP camp aims to meet your every need. Each HRAA VIP Tent Tag allows a roughly 15ʹ-by-15ʹ area to camp (tents are not included; please bring your own camping supplies).
Are tents and camping supplies included with HRAA VIP Tent Tags?
Sorry, no — HRAA VIPs must bring their own tent and camping essentials. A HRAA VIP Tent Tag is just a ‘ticket for your tent,’ and allows for a roughly 15’x15’ footprint for you to setup camp. Please remember to pack light! “Less is more,” as they say.
Can I camp in my vehicle in HRAA VIP camping?
Unfortunately, — due to safety concerns and space, only tents are allowed in the exclusive backstage HRAA VIP camping area. If you have an RV or vehicle that you hope to camp in, you will need to purchase an additional ticket, such as a RV VIP POWERED Pass, RV POWERED Pass, RV UNPOWERED Pass or V-Dub/Van Life Parking Pass.
Are children allowed backstage?
Children age 5 and under are allowed in HRAA VIP areas with a properly-credentialed parent, and may share food from parents’ plates. Any underage children/youth between the ages of 6- and 20-years-old must purchase a HRAA VIP Underage (Ages 6-20) ticket. Without proper credentials or properly credentialed parental escort, children/youth may not enter the backstage area.
Is there a will call?
No, all patron tickets are issued in advance, via email. You must print them out and bring them with you, or have them downloaded to your smartphone prior to arriving (as cell signal can sometimes be unreliable once onsite).
What happens on Wednesday?
Usually, it’s hump-day at work — but not this week! YAY for festival time! First, you beat the crowd, so you check-in and park with ease. Second, you have time to build a home-base camp using the keen-and-creative skill you absorbed by being (a friend to) a Boy Scout. Third, you enjoy the proverbial calm before the masses arrive; a festival site primed for its purpose. Fourth, you enjoy a special ‘Welcome Party’, as well as a “Welcome Back Dinner” starting at 7 p.m. in the VIP Pub. And fifth, you get some restful sleep to prepare for the mountain-magic marathon ahead.
Do we really get complimentary adult beverages?
Yes, you are now regulars at a neighborhood bar, the VIP Pub, situated in the central VIP World at the best music festival on earth. In addition to complimentary beverages, you also get to experience exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime concerts on the VIP Pub Stage as you enjoy craft libations and exquisite camaraderie. (I know, life is rough.) As regulars, you are entitled to complimentary beer, wine, cider and seltzer, as well as other adult beverages (liquor) during the daily Happy Hours, and a healthy offering of non-alcoholic drinks (water, soda, juice, kombucha, etc.) at the VIP Pub.
The exclusive HRAA VIP Pub is open during FloydFest 24~Horizon during the following hours:

Can I leave the VIP Pub with my complimentary adult beverages, and enter the main festival site?
We are sorry, but you cannot leave the VIP Pub with your complimentary adult beverages due to ABC regulations. VA ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) mandates different ABC barriers within our main festival site, thus HRAA VIP patrons cannot take their free alcohol outside of the VIP Pub barrier. We are sorry for the inconvenience (but free alcohol is always a good thing).

How do I obtain my High-Roller Swag Bag, and what’s in it?
We take pride in the gathering of goodies that we thoughtfully prepare for you in a custom-designed bag for HRAA adults’ festival fun that can be picked up at the High-Roller Guest Services Lounge in VIP World any time after your 10 a.m. Wednesday check-in. Your VIP laminate is needed to issue swag bags. The bag contains one-of-a-kind gifts from FloydFest’s Partners, as well as a commemorative-and-collectible stainless-steel FloydFest 24~Horizon pint; (10) free Beer Tickets, which can be used in any Beer Garden onsite, beyond the VIP Pub (where you already drink for free); FloydFest 24~Horizon pint ring; FloydFest-branded carabiner; commemorative photo coupon; complimentary massage coupon; and much, much more!
Am I required to shower?
No — but some people like to (and appreciate it if you do, too, but it’s not mandatory) and HRAA VIP has you covered. Hot, clean showers are available in VIP World for the exclusive use of FloydFest High Rollers, 24 hours a day!
*Note: The longest lines usually occur in the morning, so consider some afternoon or evening shower action.
Do I really get a free massage?
Each High Roller receives a coupon redeemable for a 15-minute massage backstage; allotted time is based on availability. You must sign up in advance once onsite, at the backstage massage tent, and present your coupon at the time of registration. One coupon per person, please.
Will we get any help leaving?
Shuttle service is provided from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.+ on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Bring your gear to the High-Roller All-Access VIP Guest Services Lounge tent area, and our shuttle drivers will help transport your belongings back to your vehicle. Apologies, but vehicles are not allowed to drive back to the HRAA VIP camping area at any time during the festival, or on Monday, to load-in or load-out.
*Note: The High-Roller All-Access VIP shuttle service is available on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon as well.
Are service animals/pets allowed?
NO pets, please. FloydFest abides by ADA guidelines. All service animals and owners will be vetted by security once onsite.

Please read all of the information included on the PDF ticket, specific to your ticket type. Thanks!
Do you offer refunds or exchanges?
No refunds or exchanges. FloydFest is unable to manually transfer tickets for patrons. Information on transferring tickets can be found here:
https://help.aftontickets.com/knowledgebase/how-to-transfer-a-ticket-to-a-friend/
Do I need to print out a ticket?
YES (or download to your smartphone prior to arriving, as cell signal can sometimes be unreliable once onsite). To ensure that your check-in is easy breezy, please bring your printed ticket with you (cell service is not always reliable for pulling up tickets on smartphones).
What if I forgot some camping gear and essentials?
Forgot some camping gear? Need an Advil? Looking for vintage FloydFest Merchandise? The Depot is a one-stop shop for all your needs while onsite at the festival — a cross between a camp store and a mercantile. Stop in and visit our friendly staff; located on the west-side of our property, near the GA Parking areas and main entrance, at The Depot.
Are there ATMs available at FloydFest 24~Horizon?
Forget cash or need more? We’ve got you covered! FloydFest ATMs are conveniently located across the FloydFest site — but we do encourage patrons to bring cash, too!
Can I bring a pop-up tent inside the festival venue?
We aim to help keep everyone’s sightlines clear; pop-up tents — which are very frustrating to some patrons, and very necessary to others — are allowed ONLY on one cordoned-off area on the side of the main-stage field, where they do not block the sightlines of others. The front main concert field area, from the stage to the signage, is for standing and blankets only. Unless you require the larger footprint of a pop-up shade tent for medical conditions, or because of very young children, please utilize an alternative, as space for these is very limited. All pop-ups must be broken down and completely removed from the main-stage field by midnight each night.
When do I have to leave?
Although FloydFest and the FloydFest Family are always together in spirit, we will see you over the Horizon!
FloydFest 24~Horizon ends at noon on Monday, July 29, 2024, when all patrons are required to exit the site. We will miss you!
Is there free water available onsite?
Yes! Delicious mountain drinking water is located in many places onsite. Multiple hydration stations are available across the venue for refilling your favorite FloydFest stainless-steel pint or reusable water bottle.
My phone is dead! What do I do? Is there a place to charge my smartphone on the festival site?
If you cannot unplug while at the festival, our High-Roller All-Access VIP Guest Services Lounge has myriad outlets for you to use for recharging your electronics — another crucial perk of being a High Roller. While we want to offer the service for your convenience, please be aware that we do not accept responsibility for your items. (Note: We recommend you enjoy the space, and hang nearby during the charging process of your device — we made it comfy for you.) Also, there is a safe-and-secure location to charge smartphones during the festival, which is monitored and managed by partners and staff.
Are there meetups for AA & NA?
Yep, FloydFest will feature meetups for both AA and NA during the 2024 festival. Please check back here or in the FloydFest program for exact days, times and locations.
Where is Lost & Found located during FloydFest 24~Horizon?
The Depot is command central for the festival’s Lost and Found — if you find an item on the festival grounds, please return it to the The Depot so that it may be returned to its rightful owner. If you have lost something on the FloydFest site, please see the fine FloydFest staff at The Depot to report your item missing. Fear not, we have had many wonderful lost items returned over the years … brand new phones, cameras, and wallets full of credit cards and CA$H!
How do I find out about Outdoor Adventure offerings during FloydFest 24~Horizon?
Find all info about Outdoor Adventure offerings during FloydFest 24~Horizon here: https://floydfest.com/outdoor-adventure/.
Where can I find more info about FloydFest’s Children’s Universe?
Perhaps an even greater joy than being named “Best Festival” by Blue Ridge Outdoors’ readers in multiple ‘Best of the Blue Ridge’ Competitions, was that FloydFest was also named “Best Kid-Friendly Outdoor Destination” and “Best Family Friendly Festival.” Why? Because, creating a sanctuary for families and children has always been a top priority for FloydFest. Find more info about kid-friendly programming and FloydFest’s Children’s Universe here: https://floydfest.com/childrens-universe/.
