Mackenzie Roark

Drawing inspiration from classic country, 70’s folk, and good ol’ fashioned rock and roll, Mackenzie Roark has a sound that is heavily rooted in the past. This Richmond-based singer/songwriter crafts poignantly introspective and authentic songs that highlight a deep fluency in the reflection on everyday life. Her lyrically-rich storytelling is heavily inspired by the likes of Townes and Loretta, but is coupled with a punch-in-the-gut girl power, drawn from artists like Shania Twain and Sheryl Crow.

After performing at Floydfest in 2021 with the Dharma Bombs, and then again in 2022 with Devil’s Coattails, Mackenzie returns to Floydfest with her full backing band to play songs off her long-awaited debut album, “Rollin’ High, Feelin’ Low,” which was just released in 2022 via Vocal Rest Records.
