JAM KIDS PRESENTS: EDDIE RAY BUZZINI

Ettore Buzzini is a young bluegrass musician and singer from North Carolina, specializing in hot-picking Scruggs style banjo. At age 6 he heard the Flatt & Scruggs tune Shuckin’ the Corn”(The Car Talk Theme), and that rocked his world. At age 10, he wrote his first 3-verse song. At 11, he became the youngest youth ever to win the youth banjo contest at the Old Fiddler’s Convention in Galax, Virginia. That same year, another song he wrote won him the honor of playing onstage with the Kruger Brothers. Ettore found a musical home in the traditional music community of Blue Ridge, where he earned his chops playing in jam circles led by the unspoken heroes of fiddler’s conventions. At age 13, he was recruited by Patuxent Records and at age 15 released his first album. He has played onstage with the likes of Pete Wernick, the Kruger Brothers, and Sideline. Now 16 years old, Ettore is working on a 2nd album, while leading his own band of young super pickers, including flatpicking phenom Devin Jones. They are touring in the US and Europe this summer.
