Grady Spencer & the Work is a blue-collar, country alt-funk band from Fort Worth, Texas. Born and raised on the gritty plains of the Texas panhandle, Grady mixed his childhood experiences of 90’s country radio with the groove-based songs of Jack Johnson. Eventually, he would discover the raw blues of the Black Keys and these ingredients would be the base of the soup that he’d be making for years to come.
After moving to Fort Worth with his wife, Kaci, in 2012, Grady would soon establish the band Grady Spencer & the Work. Grady found a rock-solid lineup consisting of Johnny Hatcher on bass and keys, Tyler Martin on lead guitar, and Jesse Fox on drums and percussion. Through decades of experience from wildly varying musical tastes, Grady Spencer & the Work continues to push forward to make music that blurs the lines between Country and Americana and everything in between.
Looking forward, Grady Spencer & the Work is moving from a Texas based regional act to now touring across the nation. With new music already in the works and plans for both East and West coast runs in 2023, they anticipate another great year of music and shows.
