Cool Down on the Little River at FloydFest!
We’re excited to partner again with On the Water — this year we are offering opportunities to escape to the water for a few hours of paddling and floating down a gorgeous, undeveloped stretch of the Little River in Floyd County, with small whitewater (not even Class I) suitable for all ages.
Trips include a 45-minute shuttle (via school bus and 15 passenger van) from the festival to the Little River, 2.5 to 3 hours on the water, and a fully catered lunch with local produce and all the sides and fixins! Trips meet at the front gate of FloydFest. Trips are first come, first serve. Patrons can also sign up at the FloydFest Outdoor Adventures tent beginning Wednesday, until the trips are full. This event is rain or shine. Tickets are nonrefundable. Tickets available HERE.

The Belcher Mountain Beat Down!
A Guided FloydFest Mountain Bike Journey
FloydFest is happy to announce a GUIDED mountain bike tour that descends the Blue Ridge and finishes with miles of hand-built single-track trail!
The 19-mile route includes 1600’ of elevation gain and 3400’ of descending.
This journey will ride as a group from FloydFest through gorgeous Virginia countryside to the spine of Belcher Mountain, where we’ll descend via steep rocky trail to the valley below. An alternate dirt road descent route option is available to those looking for a gentler ride down the mountain. The course finishes with miles of creek crossings on the way to the I.C. DeHart Park in Woolwine, where we will sample some of the 15 miles of hand-built single track this park has to offer. At the ride’s end, we’ll enjoy a catered lunch and shuttle service back to FloydFest.
The ride will take 2.5 to 4+ hours. Riders are required to bring their own bicycle and helmet. The Belcher Mountain Beatdown is not recommended for beginner mountain bikers. However, beginners should feel free to participate — the I.C. Dehart Park includes miles of friendly trails to explore at your leisure. Those wishing to ride only this part of the journey may attend and ride the shuttle each way. Riders are encouraged to check in at the Outdoor Adventure Tent for updates and to arrange shuttle rides down if not doing the full tour.
Cost per rider is $45 and includes lunch and shuttle ride. Proceeds after cost will be donated to the I.C. Dehart Memorial Park Trail Fund. Participation is limited to 20 riders.
Saturday only at 9:30 a.m., meet at the front gate. This event is sponsored by Floyd Outdoors and will be guided by The Merry Moonstompers.
5K Trail Running Race
